Purdue/NW

Purdue plays at home against a solid Northwestern team in a early 12pm start.  Some stats to point out:  Purdue still leads the Big Ten in defensive 3 point% (although NW shoots 40% from deep and average just over 9 3's per game), FG%, and defensive PPG allowed (54).  They are on a 7 game win streak and have won 13 straight games in the month of December.  They've been shooting 50% combined in their last 3 games from the 3 point arc, which is impressive.  NW is 2-1 on the road this year.

The last time they met was in the Big Ten Tournament last season, a 69-61 Purdue victory in which E'Twaun Moore scored 28 and Johnson had 22.  Before that, NW has beaten Purdue twice, once at home and once in West Lafayette. Both teams average over 75 points per game, but this is the best defensive team NW will have faced, and if Shurna is not 100% that will hurt their scoring quite a bit.

I'm liking the under here (currently around 135).  Purdue has held their last 7 opponents under 58 points.  This game should be hovering in the 60's by the time it's settled.
